As should be pretty clear by now, Jeff and Deborah Herman are literary agents. They know a lot about how to get a book published and how the publishing business works. They are willing to consider any questions you may have about any aspect of the book business.
It’s often said: There’s no such thing as a stupid question. We used to believe that, but soon learned it’s a false statement. People ask a lot of stupid questions. But that’s okay, because if you have a stupid question, probably many other people have the same stupid question as well, and none of you will have to know it’s a stupid question unless it’s exposed as such. Don’t worry about having stupid questions. Be brave and do a service for others by tendering your potentially stupid questions. Smart questions are also accepted.
Eventually, your questions and our answers will be indefinitely archived on this site for the obvious reason that it will comprise valuable material for all writers. Please understand that we are allowed to publish any dialogue you voluntarily have with us on this site. However, we will not include your address, real name, or other information that might identify who you really are or where you can be found. If you would like to hear from others writers, then simply authorize us to post your return email address.
